In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, children from Roberts had their work shown in an exhibition in Gornal.
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, children from Roberts had their work shown in an exhibition in Gornal.
The exhibition was open to the general public but the Roberts children involved had a private showing of their poems and paintings as well as other memorabilia from the era.
The children got to see actual maps from World War 2 as well as a gun, bayonets, a compass that had been buried in the sand, photographs of the soldiers and some of their diaries as well as helmets from the Allied and German soldiers.
